These skills apply to self-employment and setting up in business. They are equally valuable to those choosing employment or anyone dedicated to achieving a goal or volunteering.
The common denominator is understanding the role of enterprise in helping to achieve your goals and making an informed decision about what’s right for you.
Since 2013 XFE has supported over 1700 start-ups with £16 million of seed funding provided as official partner to the government’s Start Up Loans scheme. During this time XFE has delivered over 27,000 hours of enterprise training.
While these numbers are impressive, they do not convey the incredible success stories and remarkable achievements of those people who took the decision to start their own venture. From the infantryman who created a multi-million pound company before the age of 30 to the former RAF officer and spouse who developed a natural skin-care range product to protect her children, that’s now available internationally on line.
The X-Forces Enterprise team have joined forces with the team behind the incredibly successful ‘Screw it, just do it’ podcast series to produce a series of podcasts dedicated to the men and women from the armed forces community who have followed their dreams and made a success of civilian life.
Hear from:
They will tell you about some of the incredible experiences they have had and the difficulties they have overcome in order to achieve their goals. They will also share their tips on how they achieved their own successes and some of the mistakes they made along the way.
You will also have the opportunity to hear from CEO, Ren Kapur, who talks about why she started X-Forces Enterprise and how others can benefit from the opportunities provided by the Government, Charity and Enterprise Partners we work with.
Lt. Col. Ren Kapur MBE said:
“I’ve often been asked how XFE came about and what originally motivated, and continues to drive me, to support the Armed Forces community with enterprise skills. So I thought it was time to record the back story to XFE as a podcast and vlog.
It wasn’t the easiest of interviews to do as it involved revisiting some aspects of the early part of my journey that I don’t often share. However, it was good to have the opportunity to record the very personal reasons for my joint passions and commitment to Enterprise and the military community I consider my family; and in doing so to also introduce this brand new series so you can hear for yourselves each week from the truly remarkable people who are: the Military in Business!”
The podcasts are now AVAILABLE FREE of charge via the Apple iTunes and Spotify. You can access the podcasts by clicking on the button below.
