Craig has been walking 3 miles a day (1 mile for each charity) since the start of December in 2017. He has managed to walk 654 miles to date, with only 29 days left, and that is above and beyond the mileage he expected to do. As he said, “I would be fibbing if I said it has been easy, but I have really enjoyed the challenge. We are still raising funds and haven’t yet reached our target. With the support of X-Forces Enterprise, Ren and Craig – who are joining me on this last leg – we hope to raise a lot more to benefit these worthwhile charities; The Royal Naval Benevolent Trust; The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
I am looking forward to this. As XFE we thoroughly support him in his fundraising challenge in aid of these charities, especially ABF, The Soldiers’ Charity – who are doing so much for supporting XFE start ups and beneficiaries with workshops, and who have programmes across the UK.
Craig continues, “I would like to engage the Navy, RAF and other Army units and the general public to help me raise money. We are still short of our goal, however with XFE’s support at this last stage I am sure we will manage a last push and raise some more, even if it is just a few more pounds or pennies!”
Craig has been raising money for various charities for over 10 years through walking long distances. “I believe it is important to give something back and hopefully raise much needed funds for the charities which are always there for us and our families when times are hard or difficult. I will continue to walk and raise money for charities, for as long as I have my health!”
